Can worms recycle Dogs- and Cats poop in large quantities?

by Michael
(Pemroth NSW Australia)

We have about 20 adult dogs and 50 cats. Is your methodology of of recycling pet waste with the help of earthworms workable on this large scale?

Answer:

Hello Michael, wow you really have a large pet family :-) and I am sure they are producing a lot of poop.

But to answer your question, yes worms can absolutely eat all the waste that your dogs and cats produce. You will just need quite a big worm farm and lots and lots of worms. But due to the fact that worms will multiply rapidly under ideal conditions you won't have to purchase them all but start with a decent population and than wait as they increase in numbers.

I hope that answers your question.

Kind regards and Gods blessings
