Hallo,

es heißt einmal, die Würmer vertragen keine große Somnerhitze über 30 Grad. Aber auf der anderen Seite heißt es, in Innern entstehen Temperaturen von bis zu 70 Grad. Wie verträgt sich das?

Hallo Michel,

Ich glaube du meinst die Temperaturen die in einem Komposthaufen herrschen können. Es stimmt das Kompostwürmer bei Temperaturen von über 30 Grad in ihrem Lebensraum eingehen werden und das diese in einem heissen Komposthaufen oft weit übertroffen werden. Diese heissen Temperaturen herrschen jedoch nicht in dem ganzen Komposthaufen sondern im nur im inneren des Haufens wärend die äusseren Bereiche kühler sind und so den Würmern die Möglichkeit geben dort zu überleben bis das restliche Material abgekühlt ist. Es ist selbstverständlich riskant für die Würmer und manche von ihnen werden der Hitze zum Opfer fallen wenn ein Komposthaufen gelüftet und umgedreht wird aber ein Grossteil der Würmer schafft es meist doch sich schnell genug in die sichere Umgebung zu flüchten.
