Red worms/dog waste

by Nancy

We have one inch long red worms in our compost bin, millions of them. They do not look like earth worms I am used to seeing. Are they dangerous? They love to eat the dog poop.

Hello Nancy,

this sounds quite unusual! It is however difficult to identify those creatures in your worm bin without having seen them. would you be able to send us a picture of them? It has to be less than 1 MB and you can just attach it to your post! This should make it much easier for me to tell you what you are dealing with! What kind of food are you feeding in your worm bin? Only dog waste or kitchen waste as well?

Kind regards
