A Video clip at

shows you that it usually takes less than 1 minute per week to feed compost worms and maintain a simple worm farm. It's a good time saving practice to collect kitchen waste in a small bucket and only feeding the worms with the kitchen waste once the bucket is full. Just make sure to always close the lid of the bucket in order to avoid attracting fruit flies. We use a 5 liter / 1.32 gallon bucket but any bucket that can take a reasonable amount of food and garden scraps will do. When feeding your worms this way you can add as well left over coffee and tea which automatically adds moisture to your worm bedding. But it is essential that your worm farm has either a hole of a tap at the bottom which will allow the excess liquid to drain off otherwise you might endanger your worms.
