Frage: Ich betreibe seit einem Jahr einen Wurmkompost. Während der Winterzeit ist er im ungeheizten Wintergarten, mit einem Flies umwickelt, damit es drinnen nicht all zu kalt wird.
Die Würmer haben genügend Futter, doch seit ein paar Tagen versammeln sich alle an der Oberfläche und am Deckel, ich habe das Gefühl sie wollen ausreissen.
Woran kann das liegen?

Würmer auf der Oberfläche oder unter dem Deckel der Wurmfarm deuten eindeutig auf ein Problem hin!

Die Würmer flüchten aus ihrem Substrat weil sie sich unwohl oder bedroht in ihrem Lebensraum fühlen.

Das ist meist der Fall wenn das Substrat und das Futter in der Wurmfarm zu sauer geworden sind. Dies kann durch die Zugabe von bestimmten organischen Substanzen wie zum Beispiel Hühnermist oder zu viel Zitrusfruchtschalen geschehen.

Wichtig ist nun die Würmer so schnell wie möglich wieder in ein gutes Substrat zu setzen.
