Mindestgröße Wurmfarmbehältnis

Meine Frage- welche Mindestgröße sollte die Boxen bzw. Behältnisse besitzen, mit Hilfe derer der ich eine mehrstöckige Wurmfarm bauen möchte. Im Spezielen geht es mir um das Wohlergehen der Würmer bei Hitze und bei Kälte.

entschuldige die verspätete Antwort auf deine Frage.

Es ist eine sehr gute und relevante Frage!

Die mindestgrösse einer Wurmfarm hängt auch von den Wetterverhältnissen in einer Stadt oder einem Land ab.

Grundsätzlich gilt je größer desto besser. In Wien und generell in Mitteleuropa ist es wichtig die Würmer vor extremen Temperaturen zu schützen.

Als absolute Mindestgrösse würde ich einen 20 Liter Eimer empfehlen, der dann aber auch sowohl im Sommer als auch im Winter immer gut mit Nistmaterial gefüllt sein sollte.

Nach Möglichlkeit würde ich aber einen grösseren Wurmkompost Behälter benutzen.

Die Würmer können Temperaturen zwischen 5 und 30 Grad Celsius ertragen. Im Sommer sollten Wurm Farmen an heissen Tagen auf jeden Fall vor Sonneneinstrahlung gescchützt werden und im Winter idealerweise an einen geschützen Ort entweder im Haus, Keller oder der Garage abgestellt werden.

Als zusätzlichen Schutz vor zu grosser Kälte kann auch eine Decke oder ähnliches benutzt werden.
